On 29 September 2022, in the House of Representatives the Head of the Working group of the National Assembly of the Republic of Belarus on cooperation with the Parliament of the Republic of Cuba Sergei Klishevich met with a delegation of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of the Republic of Cuba headed by its President Antonio Carricarte.
The sides discussed issues of political support for trade and economic relations between the two countries in the face of sanctions pressure. The readiness to further strengthen the dialogue and expand contacts at various levels was confirmed.
The meeting was attended by Sergei Dik, Member of the Standing Commission of the House of Representatives of the National Assembly of the Republic of Belarus on International Affairs, and Santiago Perez Benitez, Ambassador Extraordinary Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Cuba to the Republic of Belarus.
The delegation of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of the Republic of Cuba is on a working visit to the Republic of Belarus from 26 to 30 September.
The visit
included the Belarusian-Cuban business forum and meetings with heads of
enterprises of our country. Several agreements have been reached on cooperation
in the fields of mechanical engineering, agriculture, pharmacology and IT.
