On 31 May 2021, in the House of Representatives a videoconference meeting was held between Chairperson of the Standing Commission of the House of Representatives of the National Assembly of the Republic of Belarus on International Affairs, head of the working group of the National Assembly of the Republic of Belarus on cooperation with the Parliament of the Islamic Republic of Iran Andrei Savinykh with the Chairperson of the Commission of National Security and Foreign Policy of the Islamic Parliament of Iran Mojtaba Zonnour and the head of the working group of the Islamic Parliament of Iran on cooperation with the National Assembly of the Republic of Belarus Abolfazl Amuei.
During the meeting, the parties discussed the current state of bilateral relations between Belarus and Iran, exchanged views on topical areas of cooperation. Particular attention was paid to the development of further inter-parliamentary cooperation.
