On 9 October 2020, a meeting of the Permanent Commission of the Interparliamentary Assembly of Member Nations of the Commonwealth of Independent States on Defense and Security Issues was held 
in the format of a videoconference.

Parliamentarians of the IPA CIS Member Nations discussed issues on the agenda, including the draft model law «On national security».

The meeting was attended by the deputy Chairperson of the Standing Commission of the House of representatives of the National Assembly of the Republic of Belarus on National Security Igor Martynov.
