Silk Road Support Group

The OSCE PA Silk Road Support Group (SRG) was established on July 8, 2017 at the 26th annual session of the OSCE Parliamentary Conference in Minsk.

The SRG includes 24 OSCE participating States (Albania, Austria, Azerbaijan, Belarus, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Bulgaria, Croatia, France, Georgia, Greece, Italy, Kyrgyzstan, North Macedonia, Moldova, Mongolia, Montenegro, Poland, Romania, Serbia, Spain, Switzerland, Tajikistan, Turkey, Ukraine).

The Chairman of the SRG is Mr. Azay Guliyev, Deputy Chairman of the OSCE PA — Member of the delegation of Azerbaijan to the OSCE PA. Deputy Chairmen of the SRG are Mr. Filippo Lombardi, Chairman of the General Committee of the OSCE PA on Political Affairs and Security — Member of the Swiss Delegation to the OSCE PA, and Mr. Roman Haider, Member of the Austrian delegation to the OSCE PA.

Activities of the SRG within the OSCE PA framework are aimed to expand cooperation and strengthen political, economic and cultural ties between the participating States.

The SRG is meant to play the role of a platform that promotes mutually beneficial economic and trade interactions, in particular, through the development of transport corridors, the facilitation of logistics and trade procedures, the provision of free and safe movement of persons, goods, services and investments.

The SRG is open to other OSCE participating States.
