26 June 2018, at the Embassy of the Republic of Estonia in the Republic of Belarus Viktor Mirosh, Head of the working group of the National Assembly of the Republic of Belarus on cooperation with the Parliament of the Republic of Estonia, met with the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Estonia to the Republic of Belarus, Merike Kokaev.
The meeting was held in a warm and friendly atmosphere. The sides discussed a wide range of issues of bilateral cooperation.
Particular attention was paid to strengthening inter-parliamentary cooperation in the context of sustainable development of the whole complex of Belarusian-Estonian relations and promotion of a positive image of the two countries.
Viktor Mirosh spoke about the results of the recent visit of Estonian parliamentarians and the Mayor of Kohtla-Järve to the Vitebsk region, as well as the invitation of the delegation of Kohtla-Järve, sister city, to celebrate the 60th anniversary of Soligorsk in late August 2018. Viktor Mirosh also noted that over the past year and a half of cooperation not only friendly relations were established, but there are already real projects in the business sphere.
In turn, Merike Kokaev noticed the high level of friendly Belarusian-Estonian inter-parliamentary relations, and also focused attention on the fact that recently the Republic of Belarus has made a huge step in establishing a dialogue with the countries of the European Union.The meeting was attended by deputies of the House of Representatives of the National Assembly of the Republic of Belarus Vasily Demidovich, Yuliya Murina and Tatiana Saiganova.
