Deputy of the House of Representatives, Tatiana Starinskaya, initiated and organized the visit of the Korean delegation to the Republic of Belarus in the framework of the program «Learning cities and organizations», to the city of Vitebsk which is the only learning city in Belarus, included in the global network of learning cities of UNESCO.
The delegation of South Korea included 34 heads and specialists of adult education centers, as well as 5 mayors.
The delegation got acquainted with the sights of the city of Vitebsk, and on 25 November 2019, an official reception was organized in the Vitebsk City Executive Committee.
South Korean guests spoke about education policy in Korean cities, as well as the role of national, provincial and local authorities in Korea in supporting and promoting lifelong education.
The official meeting was attended by representatives of enterprises, educational and cultural institutions of the city of Vitebsk, who in turn told and showed the South Korean guests presentations about the education system, products and the historical and cultural heritage of the city of Vitebsk.
This exchange of experience between both parties can contribute to the development of bilateral Belarusian-Korean relations in various fields. First of all, in the field of lifelong learning. And familiarization with the products of a number of city enterprises, can contribute to its promotion on the market of the Republic of Korea.
