From 12 to 15 May 2021, in St. Petersburg, Chairman of the Standing Commission of the House of Representatives on Chairperson of the Standing Commission on State Building, Local Government and Regulations, Chairman of the IPA CIS Permanent Commission on Practices of State-Building and Local Government Valentin Semenyako took part in the meeting of the IPA Permanent Commission on Practices of State-Building and Local Government, the international conference on technologies of the electoral process and the international seminar on the dialogue of citizens and authorities.
During the meeting of the IPA CIS Permanent Commission, consideration was given to the concept of the model law on international observation, the draft of the new version of the recommendations for international observers from the Commonwealth of Independent States on the observation of elections and referendums, the concept of recommendations on the use of technical means of automation in elections, the concept of recommendations on countering foreign interference in national elections, the concept of model laws on state and municipal services and on administrative procedures, as well as other issues.
Valentin Semenyako made reports on the topic “Model
Electoral Code: Prospects for Implementation into National Legislation” and on
the topic “Features of the organization of civil dialogue in the Republic of
Belarus”.
