Before the beginning of the official talks, Vladimir Andreichenko took part in the ceremony of planting a tree in front of the Parliament building.

Opening the meeting, Sardar Ayaz Sadiq stressed that the Pakistani side attached great importance to the visit of the Belarusian parliamentary delegation to his country.

During the talks, a wide range of issues of the bilateral agenda related to strengthening trade and economic ties and developing business contacts was discussed, taking into account the agreement of the leaders of the two countries to bring the volume of mutual trade to one billion US dollars by 2020.

Vladimir Andreichenko and Sardar Ayaz Sadiq expressed mutual understanding that the development of full-format interaction between Belarus and Pakistan is impossible without the establishment and enhancement of an effective inter-parliamentary dialogue.

Both sides expressed interest in supporting cooperation in the agro-industrial complex. In this regard, the importance of holding the first Belarusian-Pakistani agricultural forum on 11 April 2017 in Islamabad was emphasized.

The meeting was also attended by members of the Belarusian parliamentary delegation, Minister of Agriculture and Food of the Republic of Belarus Leonid Zayats, as well as the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Belarus to the Islamic Republic of Pakistan Andrei Ermolovich.

After the meeting, Vladimir Andreichenko and Sardar Ayaz Sadiq signed a joint declaration and a memorandum of understanding on cooperation between the House of Representatives of the Republic of Belarus and the National Assembly of the Parliament of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan.

On the same day, the meeting of Chairman of the House of Representatives of the National Assembly of the Republic of Belarus Vladimir Andreichenko with Federal Minister for National Food Security and Research of Pakistan Sikandar Bosan took place.
