On 10 March 2021, the Chairperson of the Standing Commission of the House of Representatives on International Affairs, the Head of the Delegation of the National Assembly of the Republic of Belarus to the OSCE PA Andrei Savinykh took part in the OSCE Parliamentary Assembly online seminar «Call for Action — Helsinki +50 Process».
The event was the second meeting of the «Call for Action — Helsinki +50 Process» in a series of meetings focusing on specific challenges facing the OSCE.
The participants
of the seminar were presented with reports by the Head of the Office of Legal
Affairs of the OSCE Stephen Walsh, the OSCE PA President Peter Lord Bowness
(United Kingdom), the OSCE PA Vice-Presidents Margareta Cederfelt (Sweden), Kari
Henriksen (Norway) and Azay Guliyev (Azerbaijan), the OSCE PA Secretary General
Roberto Montella and the Director of the Global Europe Program at the Woodrow
Wilson International Center for Scholars Dr. Daniel Hamilton.
During the meeting the OSCE parliamentarians, representatives of OSCE executive structures and experts discussed the main aspects of the decision-making procedure in the OSCE based on the consensus rule.
