On 16 March 2017, in the House of Representatives, Vladimir Andreichenko, Chairman of the House of Representatives of the National Assembly of the Republic of Belarus, held a meeting with the parliamentary delegation of the Republic of Kazakhstan headed by Nurlan Nigmatulin, Chairman of the Mazhilis of the Parliament of the Republic of Kazakhstan.
The sides discussed a wide range of issues related to the development of the bilateral relations. Particular attention was paid to the expansion of parliamentary cooperation and the development of promising areas of trade and economic cooperation between Belarus and Kazakhstan.
Vladimir Andreichenko and Nurlan Nigmatulin noted that the parliamentarians would contribute to the development of the legal framework of the relations between the countries by ratifying the agreements on bilateral cooperation.
Participants of the meeting also stressed the importance of the activities of the formed friendship groups in the development of relations between the parliaments and proposed to continue the exchange of visits of the relevant commissions.
The Chairman of the House of Representatives in his speech noted the constructive cooperation of the Republic of Belarus and the Republic of Kazakhstan in international parliamentary organizations and thanked for the support rendered to Belarus within the framework of the UN and the OSCE. Vladimir Andreichenko informed about the 26th annual session of the OSCE PA to be held in Minsk from 5 to 9 July 2017 and expressed the hope for the active participation of the Kazakhstan delegation in its work.
From the Belarusian side the meeting was attended by Boleslav Pirshtuk, Deputy Chairman of the House of Representatives of the National Assembly of the Republic of Belarus Boleslav Pirshtuk, and members of the Belarusian Parliament Evgeny Adamenko, Oksana Nekhaychik and Vitaly Misevets.
