On 18 December 2019, the Chairman of the House of Representatives of the National Assembly of the Republic of Belarus Vladimir Andreichenko met with the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Turkey to the Republic of Belarus Kezban Nilvana Darama on the occasion of completion of her diplomatic mission in Belarus.
Vladimir Andreichenko thanked Kezban Nilvana Darama for her fruitful work and contribution to the development of Belarus-Turkey relations as well as to the intensification of inter-parliamentary contacts at all levels.
“I believe that we have built very warm and trusting relations,” the Chairman of the House of Representatives pointed out.
It was noted that countries are actively interacting at international fora, including the OSCE PA and the Silk Road Support Group established within its framework. They also praised such a form of relations as holding consultations between parliamentary commissions on international affairs.
The Chairman of the House of Representatives underlined the importance of the participation of parliamentarians of both countries in the activities of the Belarus-Turkey Joint Intergovernmental Economic Commission since the development of trade and economic ties is one of the most important areas of bilateral relations.
Kezban Nilvana Darama thanked Vladimir Andreichenko for support and assistance in organizing work with the Parliament as well as other authorities. It was emphasized that Belarus is a very stable and safe country what contributes to the development of cooperation in the fields of trade, education, culture and other areas.
The meeting was attended by Andrei Savinykh, Chairman of the Standing Commission of the House of Representatives on International Affairs.
