On 3 March 2020, in the House of Representatives the meeting under the leadership of the member of the Standing Commission of the House of Representatives on International Affairs, the Head of the Working Group of the National Assembly of the Republic of Belarus on Cooperation with the Parliament of the Republic of Latvia (Working Group) Anna Starovoitova was held between the parliamentarians, members of the Working Group and the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Latvia to the Republic of Belarus Einars Semanis.
During the meeting attendees noted good neighborly and friendly nature of Belarusian-Latvian relations in all spheres.
The parties discussed a number of topical issues on bilateral agenda, including promising areas for the development of parliamentary cooperation, collaborative engagement in trade, economic and cultural fields, joint preparation for the upcoming 2021 Ice Hockey World Championship.
The meeting participants agreed on further cooperation.
The meeting was attended by the Deputy Head of the Working Group of the National Assembly of the Republic of Belarus on Cooperation with the Parliament of the Republic of Latvia Viktor Chaichits, Members of the Working Group: Tatyana Avtukhova, Svetlana Bartosh, Oleg Belokonev, Svetlana Gorval, Leonid Pisanik, Pavel Silchenok, Viktor Svillo, and Second Secretary of the Embassy of Latvia in Belarus Martins Teteris.
