On 4 February 2020, Andrei Savinykh, the Chairperson of the Standing Commission of the House of Representatives on International Affairs, met with the parliamentary delegation of the Federal Republic of Germany led by Mark Hauptmann, head of the German-Belarusian Parliamentary Group of the Bundestag.
The parties exchanged views on a wide range of issues, including those related to developing cooperation in trade, economic, humanitarian and other areas of activity. Special attention was paid to the development of inter-parliamentary dialogue.
During the meeting, Mr. Savinykh noted the positive dynamics of the development of bilateral relations between Belarus and Germany. He called for further extension of inter-parliamentary relations in order to increase mutually beneficial cooperation, develop attractive investment projects and expand cooperation ties between the two countries.
In return, Mr. Hauptmann thanked for the warm welcome and expressed interest in closer cooperation with Belarus and deepening the dialogue on various matters.
The meeting was attended by the members of the Standing Commission of the House of Representatives on International Affairs Valery Voronetsky, Oleg Gaidukevich, Sergei Dick, Valentina Nazarenko, Sergei Syrankov.
