On 9 June 2017, in the House of Representatives, Vladimir Andreichenko, Chairman of the House of Representatives of the National Assembly of the Republic of Belarus, had a meeting with Tali Ploskov, Deputy Speaker of the Knesset of Israel, chair of the Israel–Belarus Parliamentary Friendship Group.
During the
conversation, the sides exchanged views on the state and prospects for the
development of the Belarusian-Israeli inter-parliamentary cooperation.
Vladimir
Andreichenko noted the active work of the friendship groups established in the
parliaments of the two countries.
The Chairman
of the House of Representatives stressed the availability of opportunities for
the exchange of experience in legislative activities, the development of
mutually beneficial trade and economic cooperation, the expansion of
interregional relations and humanitarian exchanges.
Tali
Ploskov expressed readiness to promote the realization of the potential of
interaction between Belarus and Israel in the spheres of culture, tourism,
medicine and education.
The parties
agreed that the relevant lines of cooperation will be accepted as the basis for
the road map of the Belarusian-Israeli inter-parliamentary cooperation.
The meeting
was attended by Alexander Popkov, chairman of the Standing Committee of the
Council of the Republic of the National Assembly of the Republic of Belarus on
Regional Policy and Local Self-Government, head of the working group of the
National Assembly of the Republic of Belarus on cooperation with the Parliament
of the State of Israel.
