On 9 October 2020, the XV meeting of the Youth Interparliamentary Assembly of the Member States of the Commonwealth of Independent States was held via video communication.
Parliamentarians from the Republic of Azerbaijan, the Republic of Belarus, the Republic of Kazakhstan, the Republic of Moldova, the Russian Federation, the Republic of Tajikistan and the Republic of Uzbekistan as well as invited experts took part in the meeting.
The participants summed up the results of the work of the CIS Youth Interparliamentary Assembly in 2019. Issues on transfer of the Chairmanship of the CIS Youth Interparliamentary Assembly to the Republic of Uzbekistan and selection of the Coordinator of the Assembly for the coming period were also considered.
Deputy Svetlana Gorval, Head of the Youth Parliamentary Delegation of the Republic of Belarus, presented a report “Patriotic Education of Youth in the Framework of the Implementation of Youth Policy in the Republic of Belarus”.
Young parliamentarians adopted the appeal of the CIS Youth Interparliamentary Assembly to the youth of the Commonwealth of Independent States in connection with the 75th anniversary of Victory in the Great Patriotic War of 1941 – 1945, which will be distributed among youth organizations of the CIS countries.
