On September 5 — 7, 2019, Mr. Andrei Rybak, the Chairperson of the Standing Commission of the House of Representatives of the National Assembly of the Republic of Belarus on Industry, Fuel-Energy Complex, Transport and Communication takes part in the 3rd international conference of the OSCE PA Silk Road Support Group, «The Belt and Road Initiative as a Driver for the Sustainable Development Goals», which takes place in Andermatt (Swiss Confederation).
The conference program includes a plenary session and four thematic seminars: «The Road to Success — Sustainable Infrastructures», Sustainable Financing and Risk Mitigation», “Good governance, Transparency and Fight against Corruption», «Building for the future». The conference will culminate in the adoption of the Andermatt Declaration.
It is planned that Mr. Andrei Rybak will address the participants of the event with a speech as a host party of the previous international conference of the OSCE PA Silk Road Support Group.
The OSCE PA Silk Road Support Group was established in July, 2017 at the annual session of the OSCE Parliamentary Conference in Minsk.
The Group includes 25 OSCE participating States (Albania, Austria, Azerbaijan, Belarus, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Bulgaria, Croatia, France, Georgia, Greece, Italy, Kyrgyzstan, North Macedonia, Moldova, Mongolia, Montenegro, Poland, Romania, Serbia, Spain, Switzerland, Tajikistan, Turkey, Uzbekistan, Ukraine). Activities of the Group are aimed to expand cooperation and strengthen political, economic and cultural ties between the OSCE PA participating States.
